Minimising landfill contributions
Rabbit provide a range of bins where your staff can separate the different types of waste. When we take it away, we’ll sort out the recyclable materials from the non-recyclable. We’ll recycle as much as possible, but anything that can’t be recycled goes into our Energy From Waste facility. Here, non-recyclables are finely shredded and screened to remove any additional metals before being burned to generate super-heated steam which drives high-pressure turbines. These turbines drive a generator that produces green electricity.
Maximising recycling
Rabbit can also provide offices with Dry Mixed Recycling (DMR) bins. There’s no need to sort paper from plastic from metal – as long as things are dry and recyclable, they can go into a DMR bin. That includes paper, cardboard, magazines, plastic bottles and cans. Making things easier for staff will help meet recycling goals.
