Sussex Waste Recycling, better known as Rabbit Skips, is to merge with sister company, waste to energy provider, Enviropower to become Rabbit Waste Management Limited on 1st October 2014.
The move to combine the two companies is a response to the challenging business climate that has affected all sectors over the last few years, subsequent changes to the marketplaces in which both operate and the need to reflect those challenges and changes in the way both companies serve their customer bases and charge for their services.
The new combined company will provide a complete solution to customers’ needs, from the collection of waste through to the generation of renewable electricity from that waste.
Both companies have achieved notable successes in recent years. Sussex Waste Recycling’s new skip charging mechanism, introduced in April 2014, has brought improved efficiency, greater customer value for money and improved the company’s position in the marketplace.
“The future is very positive for both companies as they work closely toward the same goal. For this reason I am pleased to announce that from today (1st October 2014) we have decided to merge the two companies to ensure all our efforts are aligned with one common purpose whilst further strengthening our marketplace position,” said Greg Blurton, Owner and MD at Rabbit Waste Management Ltd.
The company’s ownership remains the same, but a new combined Senior Management Team has been formed from existing experienced employees to oversee a smooth and successful transition into a single business.
