In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Rabbit Group have implemented this privacy notice to inform you of the types of data we collect and process about you. We also include within this notice the reasons for processing your data, the lawful basis that permits us to process it, how long we keep your data for and your rights regarding your data.

This Privacy Notice applies to personal information collected by companies within the Rabbit Group in connection with the services and products they offer. This includes information collected offline through our various offices in the UK, our direct marketing campaigns and online through our website or social media.

Our websites may contain links to other websites outside of the Rabbit group. Please note that we have no control how your data is collected, stored or used by other websites and we advise you to check the privacy policy of any such website before providing any data to them.

Under GDPR, all personal data obtained and held by us must be processed according to a set of core principles. In accordance with these principles, we will ensure that:

B ) TYPES OF DATA WE COLLECT

We currently collect several categories of personal data in order to carry out effective and efficient processes, the data we collect will consist of the following as appropriate;

Name, Address, Telephone Numbers, Email Address, Delivery Address, Insurance Details if relevant. Whilst we may collect payment details from you these are not retained or stored within our systems.

Information may be collected automatically when you use the Rabbit Group websites through the use of Cookies. For further information on our use of cookies please refer to our Cookie Policy located on our websites

C ) COLLECTING YOUR DATA

You provide several pieces of data to us directly during the process of conducting day to day business with us, your personal data is kept in files or within the Company’s IT systems.

D ) LAWFUL BASIS FOR PROCESSING

The law on data protection allows us to process your data for certain reasons only. In the main, we process your data in order to comply with a legal requirement or in order to effectively manage the business we conduct with you and to fulfil the contract between us.

Data is shared within the Rabbit Group for the purposes of improving our services and customer journey as well as for marketing purposes.

G ) PROTECTING YOUR DATA

We are aware of the requirement to ensure your data is protected against accidental loss or disclosure, destruction and abuse. We have implemented processes to guard against such.

H ) RETENTION PERIODS

We only keep your data for as long as we need it , which will be at least for the duration of your contract with us though in some cases we will keep your data for a period after your contract has ended. Some data retention periods are set by the law and we will comply with these.

I ) AUTOMATED DECISION MAKING

Automated decision making means making decisions about you using no human involvement e.g. using computerised filtering equipment. No decision will be made about you solely on the basis of automated decision making (where a decision is taken about you using an electronic system without human involvement) which has a significant impact on you.
